POLKA DOTS; A BRIEF HISTORY
Therefore darlings polka dots have oft been considered one of fashion’s most fanciful patterns. In fact this playful fabric has thrilled the young and young-at-heart alike.
Since the term "polka dot" was first spotted in American magazines around the late 1800's it has become commonplace. Actually the dots were named for the polka, the Eastern European dance that was popular at the time.Hence the flirty filled-in circles immediately sparked a pop culture revolution. Still over the next century, they would pop up on everything including. Minnie Mouse’s skirt. At the same time Frank Sinatra crooned about “Polka Dots and Moonbeams”. Meanwhile these coy dots festooned women’s dresses. Therefore look at the films of the 1930s, 40s and, 50s and you'll see dots.
In the same way Brian Hyland’s 1960 number-one hit “Itsy Bitsy Teeny Weeny Yellow Polka Dot Bikini” was one of the most popular tunes of the decade. Moreover from there debut in the 1800's till today these kitschy dots have made us smile.

Ultimately this playful print appears in many summer collections. Therefore finding its place in my posts for summer 2017 . Whether in monochromatic colors or brights shades, these dots are always on trend.
In my opinion this years most classic interpretation of dots is Dolce & Gabbana .Consequently my favorite design duo sprang to life ,with white dots against a black background and vice versa.
While at Givenchy this trendy print was artfully delivered . No doubt what makes us go into raptures are those rainbow dots on a tulle dress with ruffles.
Of course dots are also spotted at Saint laurent . While at MSGM, red dots appear to be perfected. I have chosen the ulimate polka dot collection enjoy.
