BLARA ORGANIC HOUSE
Since attending Vancouver Fashion Week, I have been researching, interviewing, and finally writing posts about the designers and shows. Since most of the designers have young labels there is not always a lot of brand information available. However one label at fashion week shows us how to create a brand.
Blara Organic House was founded in Vancouver in 2016 and in three short years they have developed a sophisticated brand that truly meets it’s customers needs. The following is taken from Vancouver Fashion Week web site.
Revolutionizing the industry since its inception in 2016, Blara Organic House has paved the way for real sustainable change in the eco-fashion industry. Our products are not only made from certified organic cotton but utilize other natural fibres to provide garments that are truly natural. We believe that living a healthy and sustainable life should be incorporated in all aspects of our lives, whether it is nourishing our bodies with organic foods to making responsible choices in the quality of clothing we choose to wear.
Blara Organic House has wonderful website that lays out their approach to fashion clearly and concisely.
BLARA ORGANIC HOUSE – SUSTAINABLE FASHION
Whenever I hear sustainable fashion, I conjure up images of dull hippy like clothing, that is ill fitting and unappealing to a fashion lover like myself. Therefore the surprise I got from Blara Organic House, was exciting. Here we have a label that is totally re-branding what it is to be a sustainable, organic fashion house.
Armed with the objective to create an organic, sustainable company that uses organically sourced fabrics and dyes has proven to be a winning concept for Blara Organic House. What also sets apart Blara Organic House is their fabulous designs.
“BORDERLESS BLARA”
COLLECTION
With designs for every member of the family, Blara Organic House, used their natural dyes to create an array of pastel hues for their runway show. A variety of shades which focused on dove grey, light blue, pink and white were used to produce a collection of separates. The runway show started with children’s clothes and included a full range including women’s and men’s garments. This collection also breaks with the boundaries of age and gender and encourages the development of personal style.
Furthermore the clothing presented was fresh and had some original shapes and designs. Ruffled drawstring pants and extra full and long sleeves are among the details that give these designs extra interest.
The design characteristics are over sized hoodies, with large patch pockets ,draw string trousers and shorts. Together with some great jackets, we see a collection that is fashionable and practical. All the clothing has a great sense of fun and joy. Moreover, the garments are comfortable and chic, a combination that does not always go together.
BLARA ORGANIC HOUSE
The modern family have many concerns about the future, one of these concerns is instilling in their children the values that are important to them. In this case Blara Organic House goes along way in producing a brand that promotes the values of being environmentally friendly, organically sourced, sustainable, and socially responsible manufacturing.
A special thanks to Vancouver Fashion Week for bringing us such a diverse range of fashion.
