GLITTER BOOTS – WHY WE ALL LOVE GLITTER

No doubt if you have seen the runways for A/W 2017 -18 you’ve seen glitter boots . In fact glitter appears several places and always seems to be a hit . Actually most of us develop a love of glitter at an early age and it lasts a lifetime. In the first place we are exposed to glitter as kids, either at preschool or Halloween. I recall making an apple juice tin covered with elbow macaroni and glitter for a mothers day gift (a now treasured artifact)

. Since our earliest exposure to glitter , it follows us through our lives appearing on eyelids , lips and nails. Darlings recently I caught a trend that showed glitter on the booty . In fact if your not up on all the latest trends you may not have seen glitter tongues. Arguably not the brightest move to ingest glitter . Along the same line for those who aren’t shy glitter boobs are all the rage! All things considered my dear friends if glitter boots aren’t your thing maybe a glitter booty is.( I just couldn’t resist) .

GLITTER BOOTS – CELEBS LOVE GLITTER TOO!

Accordingly it appears that the great glitter disco ball is landing this fall and winter. While the rest of us are mere mortals we all have been waiting for the new YSL glitter boots. Since the YSL boots appeared  this spring they have created a fashion fervor. However our celebrity friends have first dibs, so Rhianna wore the boots shortly after they appeared on the runway.

Of course the stars have as much reason as any one to don the latest glitter boots trend. Therefore let me share some of our glitterati sporting this hottest fall trend.

GLITTER BOOTS -HIT THE RUNWAY 

Darling’s an old adage says “Glitter and be Gay ” , and in this quote they mean happy. Since those of you who know me ,are aware I have a deep love for fun fashion . Hence polka-dots, faux fur and bright colors are often encouraged through this blog. For this reason I was excited to see glitter boots emerge on the runways. Since what could be more fun than glitter.

In the first place Saint Laurent showed us these now epic 80’s infused slouchy glitter boots. Also Loewe and a personal favorite  Isabel Marant  followed this trend giving there own take on glitter. In my opinion I just love the Chanel knee high glitter boots with black capped toe. Another great boot is the glitter floral embossed boot by Oscar del la Renta . Since this trend is huge let me show you may favorites.
