  My dear followers it is time to wish you all a Happy New Year , welcome to 2017. I don,t feel too sad to say good-bye to 2016 , and look forward to the coming year . Last year like many I was shaken by the election in the U.S. and enter the coming year with trepidation. We in the fashion industry are an inclusive lot , we recoil against racism , homophobia and misogyny. All we can do is fight the good fight against all forms of prejudice and hatred.

           Now that I've made my political statement , I would like to turn our attention to the great fashion items available.I have partnered during the last year with several renowed fashion merchandisers and have scoured their sites to bring you some amazing finds. As you may or may not know I am very much about designing your wardrobe. I really try to steer you away from impulse buys and to think about what you need to stay on trend yet maintain a classic wardrobe. With my expert eye and a natural flare for classic and sometimes vintage inspired clothing , you can trust me , I won't guide you in the wrong direction.

              It is quit possible to add several items to your wardrobe a season and stay on trend. Classics are classics but they don't have to be boring . The biggest trends for spring 2017 may be achieved through adding a few  pieces to your existing closet. The first trend that is going to big in 2017 is stripes. Stripes were around a lot in 2016 but really came to the forefront in the spring shows for 2017. Bold stripes in primary colors appeared upfront on the runways.Launch into late winter early spring with some fabulous stripe looks!

  A New Year always finds  us thinking about the future.With the beginning of a New Year it is always good to do an inventory of our wardrobes.This is the perfect time to donate items we may not wear anymore . We also may discover hidden treasures. Those items packed in the back of the closet waiting to see the light of day again. This is also the time to think what items you may need to purchase to complete your looks and stay on trend.Remember if your wardrobe has the basic classics you may just tweek it with a few additions each season.
