HOW TO DRESS THE PART
How to dress the part for those dog days of summer. First let’s put it out there that it is only August and summer is still in full swing. While I might not be a great sunbather , I do love the summer . Last weekend here in Vancouver we had the pride parade. Of course it was a great event and the streets were crowded with merry makers celebrating with Pride. Furthermore we also just had the Celebration of Light an annual fireworks festival that delights residents and tourists alike.
Since every global city seems to host such events , especially during the summer , it can be hard to know how to dress the part. Of course dressing for summer events should be fun . Therefore I’ ve planned some great looks to wear to great summer events around the Globe.

Therefore for this August 16- 20 th visit The Festival International de Tango de Montréal
Each year, The Festival International de Tango de Montréal (FITM), created in 2003, presents music of the highest quality performed by musicians from Argentina as well as from Quebec. Many free concerts are offered outdoors and are open to the public at large. The orchestras also present concerts during milongas (dance evenings with live music) and in renowned theatres. Apart from the concerts section, the festival also offers an intensive dance training program with workshops for beginners and dancers of all levels with guest masters.

HOW TO DRESS THE PART ; NEW YORK
First and foremost August in New York is usually holiday time. Therefore many New Yorkers are out of the city. On the other hand many people are visiting the Big Apple to take in the many events around the city. If you happen to be in the city a great festival is the Afro Punk festival.
AFROPUNK Brooklyn 2017 takes place on August 26th & 27th at Commodore Barry Park for a day of live music and good vibes.
Described by The New York Times as “the most multicultural festival in the US,” AFROPUNK has expanded beyond Brooklyn, offering dates in Paris, London, Atlanta and Johannesburg. AFROPUNK BROOKLYN promises an eclectic line-up and an audience as diverse as the acts they come to see. Join us to add your voice to the sound behind the movement. And most importantly, come ready to party.

HOW TO DRESS THE PART; SOUTH WEST 4, LONDON
August 26-27,2017 .The mighty SW4 – Clapham Common’s bank holiday dance music explosion – returns for another weekend of big drops, club anthems and arms in the air. If you’re longing for big beats but can’t afford Ibiza and are loath to spend the last days of summer in a dark room, head to SW4 for your fix of big-room house, EDM, electro, techno and trance, as well as other genres creeping in from all angles. The names that SW4 pulls in include some of the biggest DJs and live dance acts on the planet – including a live show from Pendulum –which is probably why it has a marked tendency to sell out well ahead of time.
My dears the trance music is calling , therefore dress the part for this largest of all dance parties. Getting your dance on in Clapham South West Four may be easier if you stay dry. At the same time remember skin dries faster than denim and sneakers or boots are great for weather. Shop my site and have your looks ready.
HOW TO DRESS THE PART; PARIS
Paris the city of lights. As a lover of fashion Paris holds a speacial place in my heart. Therefore it is nice to correspond a trip to with one of the fashion weeks. While in Paris, like London their are a lot of sights to see , museums , galleries and historic buildings. Actually a day trip to Versailles Palace and gardens is something perfect for both residents and visitors.
HOW TO DRESS THE PART; OPEN AIR CINEMA AT THE PARC de la VILLETTE PARIS
Every summer, Parisians traipse up to the ultramodern Parc de la Villette, in northern Paris with blankets and folding chairs to take advantage of celluloid in the breeze. The open-air cinema, or “cinéma en plein air”, is generally free and hosts at least one show each evening for around a month in July and August, with a program chock full of both classics and recent hits.
Worried that you’ll need solid French to enjoy this event?Luckily for international visitors, many of the films on the program each year are shown in English. Pack a picnic and a blanket and come enjoy a good movie under the stars. All screenings begin at sundown, and are shown in their original version with French subtitles (except for French films, which are unfortunately not offered with subtitles).
While watching the outdoor film add the perfect Parisenne picnic ,make one with the find chesse ,bread and wine available or order one to be delivered .While in the parc make sure that you dress the part .
