ORANGE

Orange rarely gets many accolades. Whenever I think of this color I see a safety vest before my eyes. However I have been looking at all the sales for this year and the carrot hue is everywhere. This however is great news because it is on the color round-up for F/W 2018. Since trends don’t change so fast I suggest shopping for items on sale that are wearable this fall .  Therefore unless you’re heading to tropical destinations you don’t need to rush to the  bikinis . However there are a lot of great cross season pieces that will have you taking orange into the fall. But darlings summer isn’t over yet.

HOW TO WEAR ORANGE

From the runways of Calvin Klein , Tom Ford and Marc Jacobs , orange was one of those unexpected hues for S/S 2018.  Moreover I’m not alone in this  craze , my favorite blogger Blair Eadie at Atlantic/Pacific posted recently on this same color.

“Oranges and yellows have been creeping their way into my closet, and when I saw this orange ruffle dress I knew it had to be mine! ” Blair Eadie.

In the first place I think Blair looks just fabulous in this  dress. However many people find this bright color hard to pull off. Surprisingly if you follow a few tips you may find this color to be a new favorite.

 Pair orange with neutrals

Darlings if it is new to you , you certainly don’t have to go head to toe prison jumpsuit. Since this is a bright color pair it with other neutrals, nude hues, and white work real well. Whatever your thinking I personally rarely match it with black not to go full on Halloween overload . Moreover orange looks great with denim especially faded denim. Combining bold  hues with patterns and prints is a very effortless approach to putting together a visually interesting look . When choosing a print or pattern you can avoid too large an  expanse of the bolder color.

In conclusion , it’s not so much the color but how you wear it. Since there will always be people who will stick to neutral clothing I’ve included some accessories. First you may need just a splash of a color to be on trend , be it shoes, a bag or scarf. Second don’t be shy of colors you don’t normally wear , try some items on and open your mind to fresh fashion. Since we are only midway through the summer there are still a couple of months to shop for summer outfits .
