SEE DOLCE & GABBANA SOAR

 Dolce & Gabbana Soar . Since I made this statement let me explain. Immediately as I say this statement  I feel slightly defensive, as some of the design duo's words have caused backlash. While I don't condone their sometimes offensive statements , I also don't look to D & G for political guidance. Therefore I will address the quote "See Dolce and Gabbana Soar".

What I mean is that as Dolce & Gabbana are moving even farther to catering to the millennial generation. Their shows and fashion are soaring. According to a report by Business Insider Italia, D & G had a massive profit rise.  Profits were 21 million dollars in 2016  to 94 million dollars in 2017. Since I don't attempt to understand business at this level , I'll take they're word. Moreover what really accounts for this soar at D&G ? I'll tell you outright it's all about the products. Above all else fashion is about the clothes , the bags and the shoes. Therefore  D&G's latest collection is awe inspiring 

DOLCE & GABBANA SOAR ; THE SHOWS

 Since darlings I was not in Milan for the Spring/Summer 2018, Dolce & Gabbana  shows I've heard amazing reports. Dolce & Gabbana doubled down on millennial engagement. First they presented a secret show , for a mix of millennials and gen-zers . In fact they were the models, So, which millennials made the cut for this clandestine operation? There were some people you may have heard of because they might be related to someone else you may have heard of: Delilah Belle and Amelia Gray Hamlin (daughters of Lisa Rinna), Macklinley Hill (sister of Taylor Hill), Lori Harvey (daughter of Steve Harvey), Christian Combs (son of Sean "P. Diddy" Combs) and Ella Richards (granddaughter of Keith Richards). Some new faces joined the troupe, including chef Tess Ward

 The actual runway show the following day saw #DGMillennials on the sidelines. The show was a vast parade of models on the runway in the brand’s familiar marriage of sophistication and gaudiness. 

DOLCE & GABBANA SOAR; MY REVIEW 

My dear's I'm all about excess and maybe that's why I love D&G so much. As a matter of fact the S/S collection 2018 is an extension of their previous years. Furthermore it is as though we are on a on going tour of Italy. In my opinion this kitsch and glamorous collection is exactly why we see Dolce & Gabbana soar. In fact the last few years have been an ongoing story of  Italian culture. While I can imagine Sophia Loren or Gina Lollobrigida wearing these clothes they are also very modern. Of course many of you say may "Sophia who?". Darling's I must stress here that to be a true fashionista, you must have historical and cultural references. Therefore follow my links and discover these references. The last few years and especially this year"s collection pay homage to Italian culture.  Including tourism, Italian women and the 1950's and 1960's all presented with some tongue in cheek. 

DOLCE & GABBANA SOAR ; THE COLLECTION

 Everything seemed to go in familiar order, starting with the black, only-in-Italy outfits. Those iconic, body-conscious garments –dense and lacy. Then they disappeared to be replaced by touches of beautifully crafted kitsch. For instance the fabulous use of pattern and lace detailing. The fashion duo used playing cards, vegetables, flower patterns and hearts to give youthful feel to a familiar image. Dolce & Gabbana hit on their fashion style at least a decade ago. They are just bringing the age rate down with this cry of ‘Millennials forever!’ Let's hope they look, love – and buy.

DOLCE & GABBANA SOAR; INCONCLUSION

Presently it's still Winter in most of the northern hemisphere. In fact in most of Canada and the U.S. it's still every cold . With this in mind I always like to cheer up my followers with a nice S/S collection.Therefore I have turned to my favorite design duo Dolce & Gabbana  for that breath of Spring . Moreover last year I did the same check it out. I just linked that post and realized it was January 21st that I published last year and by coincidence today is January 20th.

Ultimately the 2016, 17 & 18 Dolce & Gabbana collections can be worn together. While all of these years have different themes the brand is strongly evident. Therefore darlings I encourage you to take advantage of the fabulous sale prices still available at my partner FARFETCH
