Here in Vancouver we have entered our rainy season. Since the weather is always changing wearing trench coats is second nature . While trench coats are everywhere the origin is from Great Britain and much like the British , we a wet fall and winter. Whenever I think of trench coats I tend to think of a khaki item that is classic and timeless. Therefore many of you have this staple piece in your wardrobe already. However my darlings you can add to the classic coat with many other options. Therefore this year is making huge strides with the variety of trench coats on the market. The trench coat’s fashion reign is unstoppable. Therefore utility styles with leather trims, classic storm shields and epaulettes in oversized silhouettes ruled the runways this season. The best came with a twist, however: at Givenchy, Clare Waight Keller played with proportion by adding pumped-up power shoulders to her trench. While Acne Studios’ Jonny Johansson focused on supersized, leave-your-handbag-at-home pockets. In the market for something with a softer finish? Khaite’s cream-colored coat comes with bracelet sleeves and tortoiseshell buttons, giving it a modern-lady feel.
