SPRING DRESS

A spring dress is something that should delight and thrill. Today is the spring equinox , meaning for the northern hemisphere its the first day of spring. Here in Vancouver the first sign of spring are the cherry blossoms . Therefore I look to see the streets lined with those bright pink blossoms to welcome spring . The next sign for me is when I see my first spring dress .

It sounds like I'm bird watching or hiding behind a mail box stalking a well dressed lady. As a child the first spring dress was one that my mother had made herself. This event usually corresponded with Easter and I remember being as exited by my mothers dress as I was about my basket of eggs. Either pale blue or pastel pink (never yellow) my mothers dress changed with the times.  

It's years ago now that those dresses made by my seamstress mother imprinted on my mind. But their lasting legacy brings this post to you today .My love of fashion is in my blood and has been actively engaged since my earliest memories. A spring dress is something that represents the very essence of spring. While it may once have been an easter bonnet it's now that spring dress that shows the change of seasons.

While  I may sound all romantic and have these memories of dresses long gone I am writing this to encourage you to start a new tradition. Therefore the spring dress is a perfect tradition, something that will serve you well

Choosing a Spring Dress That is on Trend

Since a spring dress is something that will be apart of your wardrobe you should make a thoughtful choice. In several past posts I have covered some of the main trends for Spring/Summer 2017.  Therefore to review, the color trends that are strong this season are pink and yellow , and  of course the Patone color choice of greenery. Since trends do play apart in choices I'm always looking at what is on trend. Therefore some of the others trends that are strong this spring are florals, ruffles , stripes and one shoulder , to name a few. Since I'm interested in style and trends , I have used this criteria to choose some beautiful spring dresses that you can purchase here.
