DENIM
Certainly you don’t have to wait until Spring for new denim. But it does seem denim is always on the Spring/Summer runways. Whether you love to dress-up or dress down there are few among us who don’t wear denim jeans. This staple is a part of the modern wardrobe that most can’t live without . Therefore when you need to update your look, let the influence come from the runways.
Designers from Gucci, Givenchy to Celine showed trends of denim that will be must haves for 2020 . Trends in denim include vintage to distressed, vivid color and the return of some flattering flares. With this in mind follow my advice on latest trends helping you find jeans at the hottest prices. Shop early as these looks will move fast.
VINTAGE LOOK DENIM
From the classic levis 501’s to jeans from the local thrift store, vintage styles are hot for S/S 2020. Some of these looks include wider legs and even shorter culottes. The 70’s inspired seamed denim jeans shown above are the hottest thing.
Levi’s
Levi’s is all about heritage and tradition, right down to the signature red tab. Since 1853, Levi Strauss & Co. has pioneered and guided the versatile, innovative ways in which denim is used. The blue jean was invented by salesman Levi Strauss and tailor Jacob Davis, and their product evolved from utilitarian workwear to an everyday essential. Today, Levi’s jeans are still a fashion favorite, and the company has stayed true to its roots by keeping its headquarters in San Francisco: the city where denim history was made.

DISTRESSED DENIM
First things first I love me some distressed denim. While this look has certainly been around for a while every couple of seasons it comes back with a vengeance. In fact the distressed looks that are popular maybe faded patches or go as far as rips and tears. Certainly there is an attitude from some that they wouldn’t pay for ripped or torn denim , this belongs to those who know nothing about fashion , so don’t debate the point.
Moreover sometimes the best fashion looks are about contrast. Therefore coupling a pair of distressed jeans with a slick or crisp top creates that juxtaposition. Think about putting a fabulous pair of streamlined heels with a distressed denim look again creating an interesting proximity.

COLORED DENIM
While blue is the color most associated with denim colored jeans are everywhere. Certainly, the runways were alive with bright colored denim. I really love some of the colored options, pictured above is this PINK look fro Helmut Lang . Please shop my choices of colored denim for the coming Spring /Summer .
