    Yellow is everywhere. While Spring is in the air , it is time to consider your Spring & Summer wardrobe. I’m always looking at what colours  are hot for the new season, and Spring & Summer 2019 has a lot of yellow in store. I hear all the time from women, I can’t wear yellow. Therefore as a designer and stylist I find this blanket statement to be untrue. Moreover darling’s there are so many shades of yellow.

I can’t remember how long ago, probably the 1980’s, but a hot trend at one time was colour analysis. Are you a summer or a fall ? Are you full of it or not? Since many used this theory as a bible they would only wear the colours that this technique dictated. The victim of this entire scheme was yellow. The much aligned yellow was often tossed aside with little regard for it’s fabulous powerful qualities.

Since there are so many shades of yellow , there is a shade for everyone. However, no colour  has more power in Spring than bright bold yellow. Therefore, if you want to stand out in a crowd wear a bright shade of yellow. I do agree that yellow can be difficult because it does reflect back on your skin, however, a little makeup goes along way. Darling’s it’s all about balance. I have searched my  partners to find those perfect yellow outfits to take you into Spring and Summer. Therefore I am giving you yellow by the shade, choose your favorite and shop your favorites.

Lemon yellow is the brighter cousin to pastel yellow. I love lemon flavor therefore it is a psychological equation  that I love the colour lemon. This bright cheery shade of yellow, is like the glistening inside of that fabulous lemon meringue pie I love so much! Lemon is the perfect shade for Spring and Summer.

HOW TO WEAR YELLOW- MUSTARD

Whenever I think of yellow, mustard yellow is a favorite. Mustard is often used in fall and winter clothes however, it is also a great shade for both Spring & Summer. In fact mustard is a great colour to match with other favorites , be it navy, white, black or browns. Brighten up your wardrobe with mustard if you want to play it a little safer.

Certainly not everyone looks good in every colour. However, you will never know that until you try it out. So many woman come with fore drawn conclusions about colour and a lot of them  exist because of experience. However, please don’t rely on some sort of witchcraft that says you’re a Summer or Winter. Yellow is in all the stores this season and I’ve given you many choices to order and try. Don’t be afraid of colour, take risks and many of them will pay off. Go forth my friends and wear yellow
