LIVING CORAL

Since I love girly and pretty looks , it goes without saying I love spring dresses. I’m always excited for the spring and part of that is seeing the new color of the year. Since I’ve already told you readers about how and what Pantone is ,check it out.

For 2019, Pantone has named Living Coral the color of the year, writing in a press release that the color “is evocative of how coral reefs provide shelter to a diverse kaleidoscope of color.” In that quote you’ll find a nod to the importance of coral reefs in our environment, and in the color name, the denotation of coral as “living” . However this a hope and not the fact that without protection we may well be coral-less in a decade.

Furthermore darling’s you may tire of hearing me say “find your color palettes in nature”. In fact that quote was the mantra of my costume design teacher at university. The Pantone Color Institute also notes that in addition to representing one of the earth’s most essential and magnificent ecosystems, the color coral “is a nurturing color that appears in our natural surroundings and at the same time displays a lively presence within social media.” So it looks just as beautiful to gaze at in real life at the Great Barrier Reef as it would on the LED screen of your phone or laptop.

IN LIVING CORAL

Sometimes it is surprising how uniformly designers get behind a color trend. Apparently for Spring 2019 the fashion world got the memo on Living Coral . For instance Marc Jacobs showed a collection of pastel spring dresses that featured Living Coral pieces. While Joesph Altuzarra takes us to the beach , with charming spring dresses in coral detailed with shells. Significantly Fendi showed us some delightful light and airy Spring dresses in on trend coral.While for those who love evening extravagance Christian Siriano knocked it out of the park . So get a Living Coral lipstick and wear with these designer Spring dresses.
